About Me

I am a sixteen-year-old junior (class of '27) at La Cañada High School passionate about pursuing a future in biomedical engineering and research. I've been lucky to participate in an internship at UCSD's Institute of Engineering in Medicine and am a group leader this spring.  So far, our team has submitted multiple abstracts to biomedical conferences. Last fall, we presented a poster at the BMES (Biomedical Engineering Society) convention, and I gave an oral presentation at the International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology in Matsue, Japan.  This August, I'll also be giving a solo oral presentation (of my first-author proceedings!) at SPIE Optics + Photonics in San Diego. I am excited to continue the research through the summer and continue working on building a machine learning pipeline for our lab's cell analysis work.

I love singing, dancing, learning languages, and my two little dogs Poppy and Georgie. I am fluent in English and Spanish and am currently learning Mandarin through the HSK program (certified HSK3 and working on HSK4). In the future, I hope to research neurological disorders such as OCD and explore the science behind how they can be treated.

Thanks for stopping by!
