About Me

I am a is sixteen-year-old junior (class of '27) at La Cañada High School passionate about pursuing a future in biomedical engineering and research. I've been lucky to participate in an internship at UCSD's Institute of Engineering in Medicine.  So far, our team has submitted multiple abstracts to biomedical conferences.  Recently, we presented a poster at the BMES (Biomedical Engineering Society) convention on the effects of Carbenoxolone on Astrocytes Following Laser-Induced Shockwave.  In a couple of weeks, I will be giving an oral presentation at the International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology in Matsue, Japan so wish me luck!

I love singing, dancing, learning languages, and my two little dogs Poppy and Georgie. I am fluent in English and Spanish and am currently learning Mandarin through the HSK program (certified HSK3 and working on HSK4). In the future, I hope to research neurological disorders such as OCD as well as study the effects of drugs on these certain disorders.
